Samuel Kress built this floor for his family in 1940, and it still works that way. Five bedrooms open off two living rooms, so a big family or a small retreat can spread out without splitting up.
The kitchen is equipped for real meals, not just coffee. Mornings are for the picture windows; evenings tend to move outside to the fire pit and the cedar hot tub, which are shared with the rest of the lodge.
The Grand Patio, the Great Room (pool table, wood-burning fireplace, morning coffee bar), the stone fire pit and the cedar hot tub. You may meet other guests there, unless your group has reserved the Entire Lodge or the 13-Room Exclusive rental.
