Wedding guest lodging, five minutes from The Parker Mill
The Parker Mill has no guest rooms of its own. We are on the same mountain (the mill was built to cut the timber for this house), with fifteen bedrooms, room for the shuttle bus, and a patio for the morning after.
For the couple
Your guests, all in one place
- Fifteen bedrooms, 21 beds. Take the entire lodge, 13 rooms, the top floor or the Kress Suite Group Rental, and let other guests book rooms individually.
- Rehearsal dinner in the Great Room or on the Grand Patio, with the commercial kitchen for your caterer (included with the Entire Lodge; with the 13-Room or Top Floor rental, access can be added for $250 per stay/booking).
- Room for the shuttle. The lot takes buses, and The Parker Mill’s shuttles already run here.
- The morning after. Coffee on the patio, the hot tub, and nobody has to drive anywhere.
- A long weekend for your guests. Cherokee, Bryson City and the national park are 15 to 25 minutes away, so out-of-town guests can make a trip of it. Plan your stay.
- Photos. The stone front of the lodge, the Grand Patio and the overlook have all ended up in wedding albums.
The Entire Lodge is $3,000 a night and the 13-Room Exclusive rental $2,500, plus tax and a cleaning fee. Compare all four group rentals.

How far is The Lodge at Smoky Cove from The Parker Mill?
About five minutes by car. Both are on the same mountain off US-74 in Whittier, and the Parker Mill shuttle buses already pick up and drop off at the lodge.
How many wedding guests can stay?
All 15 bedrooms (21 beds plus three sleeper sofas) with the Entire Lodge rental, or 13 with the 13-Room Exclusive rental. Smaller parties can take the 9-bedroom top floor or the 5-bedroom Kress Suite, and other guests can book rooms individually.
Can we hold the rehearsal dinner at the lodge?
Yes. The Great Room and Grand Patio seat a rehearsal dinner. The commercial kitchen comes with the Entire Lodge rental; with a 13-Room or Top Floor rental, commercial kitchen access can be added for $250 per stay/booking.
